Barriers and enablers to participation in youth activities
The Department for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) has asked SQW to carry out research looking at what makes it easier and harder for young people to take part in youth activities (things like local youth, sports and arts clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, etc.).
As part of this, SQW want to talk with some of the young people who answered the Youth Participation Survey in 2023 to hear more about:
- Their experiences with youth activities
- What has made it easier or harder for them to join in youth activities
- Their ideas for how to help more young people get involved.
The research findings will help DCMS understand how to get more young people involved in youth activities.
