The UK is committed to reaching Net Zero emissions by 2050. This has implications for actors across the economic and social development landscape: for businesses seeking to decarbonise, or innovate to realise new opportunities; for places looking to enhance their local environments, and attract the jobs of the future; for investors considering where and how to invest sustainably, or understand the impact of their investments; and for public agencies and other organisations needing to develop policies and programmes to enable a just transition.
Leveraging and building-on our expertise across a broad range of policy domains, our work in this area involves supporting clients in the design, delivery and evaluation of policies, interventions and plans at national, sub-national and local levels to support and enable the transition to Net Zero. This includes in relation to business support, research and innovation, skills and employment, cluster and sector strategies, and sustainable spatial development.
