Employment support programmes are often less effective for participants in their fifties and sixties. SQW evaluated a pilot programme which aimed to improve understanding of the barriers that older participants face and how to better support them, in order to improve outcomes for this cohort.

The Developing Your Creative Practice programme aims to encourage creativity, research, experimentation and risk taking, to enable practitioners to progress and flourish with their creative practice and career. Our evaluation explored programme processes and the outcomes emerging.

Following our earlier work, including a literature review on entrepreneurial-university ecosystems, Research England commissioned us to undertake a study to identify comparable ecosystems in the UK and the rest of Europe and to explore potential areas for mutual learning.

The Strategic Interventions in Health Education Disciplines programme ran for three years between 2018 and 2021, with a legacy programme for a further year until February 2022. SQW's legacy evaluation report provides an update on the findings and learning generated through the programme.

The Student Engagement in Knowledge Exchange programme is supporting higher education providers to develop and share understanding of effective practice. SQW has been commissioned to undertake a longitudinal evaluation. Summaries of the first two formative reports have now been published by the Office for Students.

The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund is an initiative delivered by the government-owned British Business Bank. It is a key part of the Government’s ‘Northern Powerhouse’ vision and provides Microfinance, Business Loans and Equity Finance to fund SME growth and development. SQW's interim evaluation has now been published.
