Denbighshire Economic Strategy
Client: Denbighshire County Council
The economy of Denbighshire in North Wales is diverse, with a more urban north and predominantly rural south. SQW was commissioned by Denbighshire County Council to develop an Economic Strategy to support the Council’s commitment to ‘A Prosperous Denbighshire.’
The strategy development process involved an extensive programme of consultations and workshops. This informed a SWOT analysis of the area's prospects, and the development of priorities and a strategic framework. We identified four strategic priorities for a more prosperous Denbighshire: resilient and competitive; skilled and enterprising; distinctive places and experiences; and ambitious and outward looking. We also worked with stakeholders to develop a more specific Action Plan.
